Meet Our Team

The Boss

Roddy Mackay is the longest serving Publican in Peebles. He's been in the trade for more than 30 years and loves every minute; being involved with The Central Bar since 2006. He plays an active role in local and national licensing affairs. Roddy also enjoys a wee sing-song at the Karaoke on a Friday evening.  Roddy is our Premises Manager and trained first aider.

Gillian

Gillian has worked at The Central Bar for more than 4 years. She loves to entertain customers and may even rustle you up a cocktail! Gillian is a Personal Licence holder and trained first aider. She is always keen to build on her skills for the job. Gillian has a kind heart and always supports (or initiates) charity fundraising events.

Peter

Peter has worked at The Central Bar for the past few years. He is a Personal Licence Holder and always keen to build on his knowledge about the trade. Peter plays for The Central Darts Team and enjoys a Sambuca or two when he's not working!

Mark

Mark has been working with us at The Central Bar for over 1 year now. He has many years experience working behind the bar. You'll find Mark working with us during the busy weekend times. Through the day, Mark is the face of Scott's Barber Shop in Innerleithen. A man of many talents!
